Playa Flamenca on the Orihuela Costa

Location Playa Flamenca is an ideal place to either 'chill out' or take a traditional seaside family holiday. For the energetic there are plenty of facilities within a twenty-minute drive including three superb golf courses, horse-riding, go-karting, an aqua park, fishing and sailing. Just five minutes by car, or an easy 25 minute walk, and you can be enjoying the facilities at one of the numerous sandy beaches of the Orihuela Costa (including some awarded a European Blue Flag).

Alternatively, within a short drive there are many other excellent beaches to sample. Within walking distance there is a superb choice of restaurants & bars and two large supermarkets to cater for your needs.

Each Saturday there is a local street market selling fresh fruit & vegetables and other food produce, clothes, gifts, etc.

 Round and About Torrevieja is an attractive town and has preserved its unique charm and character; take an early evening stroll along the promenade before calling at one of the many cafes, bars or restaurants for a meal or drink. On Fridays the largest outdoor market in southern Spain is held here. The two large natural salt lakes around Torrevieja have contributed to the area's reputation as one of the healthiest places in the world to live and the mud baths there are a popular spot for locals and visitors alike looking to alleviate their aches and pains. Further afield, a visit to the old towns of Orihuela, Murcia, or Elche with its palm groves, is highly recommended. Alicante also is well worth a visit - to shop or wander around the marina. The theme park, Terra Mitica, is approximately an hour's drive away.
